Cheers was a top hit sitcom from 1982 and was the bar where the TV show mostly took place. Sam Malone was the owner/bartender for most of the earlier shows, until he lost the bar to a conglomerate which hired Rebecca Howe to run it. Kirstie Alley appeared on the Cheers TV show from 1987 to 1993 and played the bars manager. Rebecca Howe spent most of her time mis-managing the bar and chasing after extraordinarily rich tycoons that she was too afraid to tell about her affections.
