| Jill Ireland was introduced to her second husband, Charles Bronson, by her first, David McCallum during the filming of The Great Escape in 1963. She had one daughter with Charles Bronson and they remained married from October 5, 1968, until her death. Ireland was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1984 and after a six-year battle with the disease, she succumbed to it in 1990, dying at the age of 54 at her home in Malibu, California. |
