Det. Supt. Peter Boyd (Trevor Eve) is the leader of a multi-discipline police team of detectives and scientists, the Cold Case Squad, which investigates old, unsolved murder cases using modern methods and new technology that may not have been available during the original investigation.
In the first part, Boyd receives an anonymous Nazi ceremonial dagger linking it to the unsolved murder of a young girl in May 1945. In the second part, Ben goes missing, while Boyd and his team try to force the truth out of a confused David. Stella travels to Poland to investigate.
